Please take the time to click on the small photos to see what I am talking about.
Ears are a big deal. The way the ears are cropped makes a great deal as to the look of the head.
Ear cropping is not a must. But if it is done, then have it done right!
There are a lot of sad looking crops out there. Do to some vets that are only for the money,
or are simply not trained and or are not artist enough to be doing ear crops.
Ears do not simply stand on there own. They must be cropped to stand up.
And this should always be done by a licensed vet.
Below is a lot of photos to show the crap I went through with 3 ear cropping!
Lets start with telling you how this all came about. My ex-husband is in the military so we use to move from year to year.
So finding and keeping a GOOD VET is really hard.( just because it's a vet dose not make him a good one.)
We moved here and I had these 3 puppies that needed their ears cropped. So I talked to people in the area
( people who own boxers ) and asked who would be good to do the cropping. Mistake 1, ( just because they have a boxer dose not mean that know jack about the ear cropping.. I guess.)
Anyway,
after talking to many people. We ended up with a vet in Wv. This vet has cropped many ears for many people and said she had done show crops before.  ( SHOW CROP, is a cut that was made to make the boxer look it's best and to show off how well the head of the boxer is made. the ears should not be the main focal point when looking at your boxer. )
But as you will see, if she has did show crops before then she has screwed up other peoples dogs before she did mine.
*Question to self why did I not ask for photos of her work before I did this too these poor babies?*
Well anyway I had to find another vet ASAP! To fix what this other vet did...

If you do not crop the lay of the ear is important to.
and some times you have to help the ear lay properly.

and these 2 boxer have a very good ear lay.
It is important to not break down the back of the ear grilse, during the growing years and development and grouth of the puppy to keep this type of lay.

photos of bad ears laying down coming soon.

EARS DO MATTER!

side note to those who talk smack:
